The last few months have been slow so I’m now lowering my prices for Sheffield piano tuning customers. It is now £30 for a first tuning, the £40 for a standard piano tuning. Customers in Rotherham, Chesterfield, Barnsley, Hathersage, Hope Valley and anywhere else outside Sheffield may be asked (on a day before the piano tuning) to pay an extra £10 to supplement travel costs.

New prices for Sheffield customers:

£30 for an first time piano tuning

£40 for a standard piano tuning

£50 for a pitch raise (involves tuning the piano twice).

For customers further than 40 miles outside Sheffield:

£40 for a first time piano tuning

£50 for a standard piano tuning

£60 for a pitch raise (involves tuning the piano twice).

I will keep these prices for  at least another year and in all likelihood they won’t change for another two or three years. From what other piano tuners have told me the first few years of a piano tuning business are always slow to start in terms of finding new customers and making sure people around Sheffield are aware of you. Hopefully these new prices will make owners of out-of-tune pianos take notice.
