I have just arrived back at my home in Sheffield after a weekend trip tuning pianos in Whitby and Scarborough. I offer my apologies to anyone who had to wait for a reply to email enquires, unfortunately I do not have internet access while I’m in the area.

All in all it was a very eventful weekend, and while I didn’t get as many piano tuning bookings as I’d hoped, this did allow me to use the time going on long hikes on the cliff path between Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby and back again, getting some much needed exercise and enjoying the first bit of sunny weather in 2017. I found Whitby to be busier than expected, with lots of charity fundraising and people dressed in costumes. I had intended to do some more promotional work while in the area but ran out of cards a few days before setting off (I am still in the slow process of building up a customer base in the region).

Now that I’m back in Sheffield my main focus is on filling up the gaps in diary with new piano tuning jobs. If you are looking for a piano tuner this week, and you are in Sheffield or within a 40 mile radius, I have the follow times left in my diary:

I am still looking for customers in Whitby, Scarborough and North Yorkshire this weekend. I will performing with my band (a rock covers group) in Bradford on Friday evening and then driving to Robin Hood’s Bay after the concert for a weekend of piano tuning in Scarborough and North Yorkshire. Please note that I won’t have internet access while in Robin Hood’s Bay, so if you’d like to make a last minute booking (or have any questions about your piano or piano tuning), calling my mobile or sending a text is your best bet (number: 07542667040). New page added for North Yorkshire customers

I have created a new page on this website – pianotunersheffield.co.uk/piano-tuning-in-scarborough – specifically for piano tuning customers in Whitby and the district of Scarborough. I have also created a Facebook page to relocate interested parties to this website (where information on my piano tuning/repair/maintenance services and availability is more thorough). I am not planning to relocate there permanently, but I do make regular trips (at least once every fortnight) to tune for piano owners in North Yorkshire and Teesside. For those living in the region I will next be in your area on the following days:

Ultimately my plan is to spend two to three days a week in Scarborough and the rest tuning for customers in Sheffield (and South Yorkshire and Derbyshire in general) so that each customer base is split more evenly, also allowing for new customers in each region.

A scenic trip to Scarborough

My visit to Scarborough this weekend showed me the beauty and wildness of the Yorkshire coast. I was piano tuning for one of my customers who is fortunate to live across the road from the North Bay. Of all the pianos I’ve tuned in the last few months this must have been one of the most scenic views! The drive back to Sheffield over the moors was equally stunning and demonstrated once a again what a beautiful county we live in. For any potential customers in the Whitby and Scarborough area, please note that I tune pianos in the region at least once every fortnight. I will be in your area again on the 25th of February and am already looking for piano tuning bookings.

A message to my North Yorkshire customers (Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay, Scarborough)

I am currently taking piano tuning bookings for next weekend (Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th of January) from customers in the Whitby and Scarborough area. I will be travelling to Robin Hood’s Bay last thing on Friday evening after playing a gig with my band Harmony of Spheres (a rock covers band) at the White Lion pub in Woodseats, Sheffield. My plan is to drive to Robin Hood’s Bay last thing on Friday night and spend all day Saturday and Sunday tuning pianos in the area. If you are new customers in north Yorkshire, I only  charge £45 for your first piano tuning. For regular customers based outside of Sheffield, the full charge is £50.
